Your three words today are:
COVER
PROTECT
SHELTER

Hold On!!!
Duck and cover
Head for shelter
Protect, not hover
In the pending helter skelter.
–
Find a safe place
And hunker down
The storm is coming
Round and round.
–
The sirens are going
The time is near
The winds are really blowing
And the green sky is not clear.
–
A sound at first, distant
Starts to grow
Initially, a soft hiss
Then it starts to throw.
–
In between blasts of hail and rain
There was as a different sound
It’s something like a freight train
With everything twirling around.
–
Deep inside my hiding place
I hear objects hit the house
As the winds pick up there pace
I huddle quiet as a mouse.
–
Big things small things
Missles of all sizes
Crash through with a sting
Destroying all our prizes
–
I hold on tight
The worst is here
It won’t take me this night
Though that I fear.
–
I close my eyes
With fast beating heart
With tears and sighs
As my house is torn apart.
–
My ears pop
From the pressure of the wind
I pray for it to stop
And the tornado finally ascends…
-aaa
Damn scary stuff to be in the middle of all that.

Some of it came from a close encounter with a very weak tornado 20 feet from my window when I lived in Texas. The rest is approximation from footage stories and information. I’ve read about from my witnesses of big tornadoes. Thank you 😊

Is this actually happening where you are?

Fortunately, no but I had many (too) close encounters with tornados when I lived in North Texas 2014-2017.
