Moments Come and They Go

Flowers ebb in the breeze

The air is filled with motion

Clouds wisp by

I close my eyes.

So much beauty here

Lots of movement in the trees

Such a lovely afternoon

I suddenly realize.

–

I let out a gentle sigh

This moment won’t last

It unfortunately, must end

I feel, a small disappointment, rise.

–

Alas, time, we cannot freeze

No matter how hard we try…
