Surpassing Fear and Ugly Doubt

Just below the spectrum of sound

There’s an ugliness, free, abound.

Through description isn’t needed

All my advice should be heeded.

Ugliness, doesn’t speak it only feels

Pain and hurt that are all too real.

Drowning rain on your sunny days

Crippling insecurities, all allayed.

Sad thoughts bad thoughts come to mind

Leaving in each of us, a hurtful bind.

Negative energy is where we’re at

“Too thin” “ Too redundant” or “Too fat”.

Fight those dark thoughts, as best you can

Know we’re meant for better, is our plan.

Pour salt water onto the seeds of doubt

A happy life is where it’s about.

Take many chances, venture far from home

Endless miles from your comfort zone.

Where growth and peace appear

And no longer living life In fear.

As you pass each and every test

You come out the other side, as your best…

An Expressive Writer’s Lunes

Finding the words.

To express how I feel.

Isn’t always easy.

I craft carefully.

Choosing words that best fit.

What I’m conveying.

Sometimes I struggle.

Racking my brain choosing them.

Must choose wisely.

If I don’t

Then each of my writings.

Will be redundant.

I’ll lose subscribers.

And quickly, just fade away.

Into all obscurity…

Where are you Soulmate?

I’m as curious as a puppy

As boisterous as a guppy

I can’t wait to meet you

I can’t wait to greet you.

Where are you hiding

Are you flying or riding?

I’ve miss you all these years

Through the hard times and the tears.

In here and ready to play

So, what do you say?

It’s time for you to appear

And make all my past mistakes clear.

I’ll close my eyes and count to three

Hopefully, thereafter, you’ll be standing by me

Set my lonely heart and needing soul, free

As now, I’m who I’m supposed to be…

Tough Goings Aren’t Bad

Little bird spread your wings

Move along, to better things.

Fly high, far, and away

To a much better day.

You are meant for better things

A happy life and the joy it brings.

So take the lessons and your lumps

Uphill, downhill, flat ground, bumps.

What doesn’t destroy makes you stronger

Take quick lessons and ones lasting longer.

Find inner peace and a smile on your face

Living a life at your very own pace.

In the end my friend, you’re you

Becoming the best in all you do.

So there’s no need to cry or shout

When going gets tough it’s what life’s about.

Life Party

Blackened

Black Celebration

Celebrate, good times, come on

Celebrate me home

Home sweet home

Homeward Bound

Bound for hell

Bound by love

Love hurts

Love is the Seventh Way

Way we were

Way down

Downward Spiral

Down under

Under the boardwalk

Under a raging moon

Moon is up

Moonlight drive

Drive my car

Drive me crazy

Crazy, I think that I’m falling

Crazy for you

You got another thing coming

You better run for your life

Life is what you make of it

Life is beautiful

Beautiful dreamer

Beautiful Boy

Boys will be boys

Boys don’t cry

Crying, over you

Cry me a river

River boy

River runs red

Red red wine

Red rain

Rain on me

Rain is falling

Falling in love

Falling from grace

Grace and mercy

Grace under fire

Fire down below

Fire in the hole

Hole in my shoe

Hole in my life

Life of the party

Life after life

Life…

Party…

Black Cat

Soft steps on padded foot

Claws withdrawn defense moot.

He finds a quiet place to hide

Black tail flits as he gently glides.

Acting site unseen

Thinking he got away Scott clean.

Dark as midnight scurries away

While masters here, he will play…

QOTD: #94

Write about your first crush.

My First Crush 💗 💗 💗

Having a sister that dances and competes as a dancer is never ever easy. In her younger years, I was bored to tears watching a bunch of girls dance, and I thought girls were icky at that time was very very boring.

Then, at age 11, I realized girls were not so icky and then I had crushes on the worst kind of girls in the world, the kind that were beautiful, fit, talented, the kind that would never give me the time of day to save my life.

One such girl was a year younger than me and competing with my sister for many years dancing. Not to mention she was also a very, very good singer, brownish blondish, hair and beautiful, brown eyes. I was completely smitten with her.

I remember playing basketball and doing layups professing my love to her as I ran up to the basket. The dumb things you do when you’re 11 and in love, I remember drawing a bunch of three-dimensional squares on a piece of paper and connecting them to other squares and other squares and other squares. Sort of an art project. not a very good one but when you’re in love, you’ll do anything.

I remember I gave it to her. She was with two other girls that were also pretty popular. I remember my head was down. My face was burning red, and I gave the paper to her and ran away.

I remember it always ask my sister if she was interested my sister danced with her and she always tell me these lines that were horrible put off lines like “that’s nice” or “she kind of likes me “. I sort of felt like Lloyd Christmas in Dumb and Dumber when he presented with 1 million to one odds of being with the girl he loved, and he said “ so you’re telling me there’s a chance”.

There were some things we had in common though that was nice we both like Pac-Man and used to play doubles. I loved that being so close to her and that small space and she not minding and we cuss out the monsters when we played the game. Those are the moments I try to remember where we are all the same like in the same kind of things at that time video games MTV movies the one time we were all the same at least in that way.

I’d look for any small piece of hope, and I grabbed on it no matter how slim. This girl will go on to perform in starlight Express and Vegas for a while while at least I picked a good one for my first. I had a slight crush on her older sister in high school, singing and dancing. Boy does it capture my interest in fancy. I seen you recall another girl from the dance studio that was on commercials for Strawhat pizza and I had a crush on her for a while too. I think her name was Jennifer as well cruel how fate had me around these beautiful girls they were so talented and so uninterested in me.

As always, Thank you for reading.

A Pleasant Date in Laguna Beach

She softly stood near a mangrove bush

My heart blazed as we talked

She turned me to a pile of mush

As I held her hand then we walked.

Her hazel eyes were warm to me

Each time I happened to catch her gaze

I felt the best for being just me

As her charms touched me in many ways.

I stood on the side of traffic

Walking, just to keep her safe

Our mutual attraction, quite prolific

Which was not done in haste.

Checking out the galleries

All nearby Laguna Beach

Not worried much about calories

As we dined at the cliff side’s reach.

The meal was done

All we could handle

For more fun

We shopped for candles.

Bee’s wax formed

And lovely scents

Earlier poured

And cooled by vents.

The store keeper and I

Shared our crafts

Upon which candle makers rely

And other facts.

Later as it had gotten dark

We journeyed back up the hill

To where we’d left my red car parked

And further adventures await us still…

Applied Life Lessons

Be happy not sad

Be rather glad

As quality of life will add

And that’s not at all bad

Instead it’s rather rad

And the knowledge is iron clad

Not at all a passing fad

Evolution, your life’s launching pad…
