The Eagle Flies

Razor sharp talons grab prey

As an eagle hunts for a meal

Doing so many times each day.

I wonder how it feels

To soar so high

So much it reveals.

High up in the sky

The view must amaze

Don’t know until you try.

Flying towards the sun rays

Rising on warm thermal air

Clear skies above the haze.

Taking off with great care

She soars upward fast

Such beauty beyond compare.

As the sun sets at last

She lands gently in her nest

Dreaming of flights of the past…
