Sunday Whirl Wordle #672

BWarren is our host for the Sunday Whirl Wordle and you can join in HERE

Our words are:

quivers, limbs, scattered, yellow, twirl, hearts, streak, faint, bags, three, howls, long

DARKNESS CHASING ME HOME

I shiver and quiver as night falls

A yellow moon completes it all.

Each limb shakes for my fear of the dark

The daylight fades fast as I leave the park.

I twirl around fast and sprint home

My heart jumps hearing three long howls, I’m not alone.

Moonlight scattered through dark trees

Streaks of occasional faint light, not enough to appease.

As I run, the night life all has its say

Crickets, owls, other sounds, all along the way.

Almost home now, feet don’t drag

Lest I might end up in body bag.

My familiar street, I’m nearly there

At the moment, not else will compare.

My front door opens, warm familiar light

I fast scurry in and escape the night…
