I’ll tell you a story of Dottie McGill
She was born out of tough circumstances
Now she fights off, a desire to kill
We know not why of her mad desires
Is it her madness or just shear will
A look of blood in her cold blue eyes
Gives my heart an arctic chill
Loving her, is taking great chances
I wonder if anyone will swallow that pill?

Writing a poem that’s Magic Nine
Does not take a sleight of hand
One might think the skill divine
Another tool in your poetic work shed
It’s not like walking a fine line
Quite liberating, a fun exercise
This poetic form is mighty fine
The finished product will be quite grand
If done well enough the readers will be kind.

She really took him for such a fall.
He had no idea until it was too late.
There’s nothing that could be done at all.
Just pack it up, and call it a day.
Try bouncing a ball against the wall.
That should clear your weary mind.
Or placate further, hike a hill that’s tall.
It’s over now, for this, there is no debate.
One day soon, you’ll be clear of this squall…
