I’m as curious as a puppy

As boisterous as a guppy

I can’t wait to meet you

I can’t wait to greet you.

Where are you hiding

Are you flying or riding?

I’ve miss you all these years

Through the hard times and the tears.

In here and ready to play

So, what do you say?

It’s time for you to appear

And make all my past mistakes clear.

I’ll close my eyes and count to three

Hopefully, thereafter, you’ll be standing by me

Set my lonely heart and needing soul, free

A Pleasant Date in Laguna Beach

She softly stood near a mangrove bush

My heart blazed as we talked

She turned me to a pile of mush

As I held her hand then we walked.

Her hazel eyes were warm to me

Each time I happened to catch her gaze

I felt the best for being just me

As her charms touched me in many ways.

–

I stood on the side of traffic

Walking, just to keep her safe

Our mutual attraction, quite prolific

Which was not done in haste.

Checking out the galleries

All nearby Laguna Beach

Not worried much about calories

As we dined at the cliff side’s reach.

–

The meal was done

All we could handle

For more fun

We shopped for candles.

–

Bee’s wax formed

And lovely scents

Earlier poured

And cooled by vents.

–

The store keeper and I

Shared our crafts

Upon which candle makers rely

And other facts.

–

Later as it had gotten dark

We journeyed back up the hill

To where we’d left my red car parked

And further adventures await us still…

What can I say

It’s now all moot

Since you’ve gone away.

I gave you love

Without fear or scare

You left with a shove

I guess life isn’t fair.

You called me a beast

In our passionate bed

Now crumbs and not a feast

In my wearied head

No goodbyes

Or final embrace

I choked on your lies

With tear stained face.

Mutual attraction fed

Now nothing consoles

You chose him, instead.
