Crisp salty sea air
Birds rise high without a care
Squawking if they dare
Waves crash on the sandy shore
Sunset paints the sky in gold.

Floating in the primordial gypsum of nothing
Silent without intention or any desired direction.
–
Darkness envelops as eyelids grow heavy
as deep sleep consumes consciousness
–
Awareness of only the thundering ocean
Desperately endlessly beating a shoreline
–
Troubles worries and stress melt away
With the serendipitous tide of salt water
–
Warm sea breezes waft in open windows
Beckoning in the afternoon sunlight
–
In a room sparsely large enough for a bed
Out humble narrator snores deliriously
–
I should awaken for I have much to do
But my dreams keep me in place…

There’s warmth everywhere.
Not a chilly spot at all.
Feel the gentle breeze.
Cool breakers fall on the shore.
Move and duck under the waves…

Standing on the shore.
Watching waves kiss the coastline.
A warm sun shines bright.
The soft sand buries my feet.
As the tide pulls in and out…

Nice waves break and it’s such a rush
Riding my board among the crush
Warm day at the beach
With nothing to teach
say or preach
We all gush…

It’s the happiest day
to all living on Crab Kay
Friends, neighbors and family alike
Come to the beach on a short hike
Blankets are down radio’s play
Providing a soundtrack to the warm beach day
Picnic baskets and lunches are many
The ultimate potluck of all and any
Cool fried chicken ready to eat
Cherries and grapes just can’t be beat
Children, giggle, and dance on the beach
With the cool ocean waters just out of reach
Gentle breezes fill the air
A very pleasant, warm affair
Eat balls, fly, and giggles follow
On this day, that’s far from sorrow
Others swim, where the waves just break
Having all the fun they can take
All this playing and positive mood
Increases the need for some yummy food
Barbecues fire hotdogs cook
With every fixing in the book
Corn on the cob melted butter
All prepared while the goers scutter
Potato salad cold slaw and fruit
An assured full stomach on all this loot
Is the sun moves from overhead to west
The town goes home for a well earned rest
The sunsets now on quiet Crab Kay
Is it residence dream of this beautiful day…

Willie the Walrus got his kicks
At the beach by doing tricks.
Making many an otter disappear
Bringing them back from there to here.
With secret words and a magic wand flick…

Shallow warm water.
Very salty to the taste.
Greets, in steady waves.
Nature’s beauty on display,
Sunshine sparkling on the sea.

Golden paradise
Swaying palm trees, quiet ocean
Relaxation from stress
Greeted with salty breezes
And scented sun tan lotion…

Warm tendrils of air greet me
A salty smell in the air
Warm soft sand beckons
Chilly Pacific waters thunder aloud.
–
The sun burns away wispy clouds
As I walk towards the sea
The tide cramps my toes at first touch
Audible rises and falls of a beach crowd.
–
I adjust to cool water in seconds
My adrenaline takes over
I duck under a large wave
Hearing scarcely a single sound.
–
The coastal beauty sets my soul free
Feeling no objections…

I remember the blazing sun
Bathing me in its golden rays
Hours of playful warm fun
All beneath its burning gaze
–
Even when it was hidden
Behind a wall of cloud
I knew the sun wasn’t ridden
As did the multitude of the crowd…

Salty sprays of foam.
Float among a blue green sea.
Holding kelpy hands.

Let’s just steal away.
On a gorgeous sandy beach.
Just us and the waves.
