Writing Life

Writing poetry isn’t very easy

As inspiration strikes we’re busy.

🤪

Placing words together that rhyme

Like “time”, “slime”, and “mime”

🤪

To compose a limerick that’s not cheesy.

Pabst Smile

Phil enjoys the taste of beer

So much, his mouth changed its veneer

As the beer suds mellowed

All his teeth were yellowed

Every morning, he gargles Pabst, I hear…

Toupee Away!

There once was a woman from Spaulding

Who’s husband was rapidly balding

So she bought him a cheap wig

Slapping lipstick on a pig.

Though his appearance is still quite appalling…

Frankensteina

Short tempered teacher sits at her loom

Creating a dark aura of gloom.

Her students remained frightened

Since her bolts need to be tightened.

So the classroom is filled with such doom.

Seeds…

There once was a bloke from Leeds

That came upon some seeds

Pondering what was found

Inserting himself in the ground 🙄

He later moved on to seedier deeds…

Back to Front Front to Back

This is something new I’m attempting to try

Tis a challenge it may make my brain fry.

While rhyming the beginning and the end

I’ll be trying to start some new trend.

Words that rhyme in the front and back

Absurd this effort to keep on track.

I fear my content might suffer

Sigh, this poetry has little buffer.

Hoping my subscribers won’t mind

Coping with odd writings of this kind.

Wondering what comments I might get

Pondering this work, I might regret

Bold as it may be the only time will tell

Cold as a reception would be hell.

So, I think I’ll end this right here

Though, this output is overtly clear…

What Will He Write Next?

Creativity, please don’t leave me now

Many WordPress writings to create and how

Rhymes and themes I must work out

That’s what being a blogger to me is about

My Subscribers from all walks and tastes

I press inside for new material to place

Haikus, Raikus, poetry, and posts

Receiving great feedback means the most

Passions, peace, and loves long gone

Are what my writings are most based on

My everyday life is also a source

Of various musings in my course

My audience, I adore and hope you grow

Your “likes” mean more than you’ll ever know

Even occasional criticism can be ethereal

As it motivates me to create better material

I challenge myself in every way

Hoping the writings improve each day

When inspiration strikes my iPhone nearby

Captured in the Notes app, then my ideas fly

I next must search for images that match

The words I just whipped up from scratch

A photo of mine or to Google for one

Filters applied, imagery, originality, done

Now post in Jetpack and hope for the best

That my newest effort will pass their test…
