I know it may not be a lot.

Even if you don’t have a lot to give.

You may not be a famous star.

Be happy for loving yourself

Even if others think you’re an elf.

Be happy for what you do

Despite all you’ve been through.

Be happy that you have friends

Support and encouragement portends.

Be happy that you’re alive.

Despite all you’ve had to survive.

Be happy for the person you’ve become

Even if your past mistakes were dumb.

Be happy for where you’re going

Even if the destination is unknowing

–

Be happy that you are alive

I know life can be an occasional dive.

Be happy for in the end

You’ve learned to be a better person, and friend!!!

Little bird spread your wings

Move along, to better things.

Fly high, far, and away

To a much better day.

You are meant for better things

A happy life and the joy it brings.

So take the lessons and your lumps

Uphill, downhill, flat ground, bumps.

What doesn’t destroy makes you stronger

Take quick lessons and ones lasting longer.

Find inner peace and a smile on your face

Living a life at your very own pace.

In the end my friend, you’re you

Becoming the best in all you do.

So there’s no need to cry or shout

When going gets tough it’s what life’s about.
