Claws and paws will pounce on you.

Claws and paws filled with pride 

Claws and paws will often hide.

Claws and paws without a peep 

Claws and paws will often sleep.

Claws and paws will not delay 

Claws and paws lives to play. 

–

Claws and paws aside from naps 

Claws and paws will get the FRAPs.

–

Claws and paws and softest fur

Claws and paws will often purr.

–

Claws and paws with little feet 

Claws and paws love to eat.

–

Claws and paws will roll and flip

Claws and paws with some catnip.

–

Claws and paws may be out of sight

Claws and paws will nuzzle you at night.

Claws and paws meows then sighs 

Claws and paws now close your eyes…

Wild Wednesdays

The day begins

As the sun rises brightly

Start your day.

–

Morning meetings galore

Then you cook yourself lunch

Which is breakfast.

–

Lots of writing

A myriad of afternoon meetings

Nearly dinner time.

–

Homemade warm dinner

Two, five cheese toasted quesadillas

Then clean up.

–

Next get ready 

And go to game night

At my friend’s.

–

Then head home

Rest, and prepare for tomorrow

The day ends…

All Work and No Play…

People work themselves to death

Never ending daily grind

Tasking each and everything

Lest falling far behind in a major bind.

–

Starts at fifteen or sixteen

In their youth, little regard

Seeking out the greatest time

Not quite the effort for working very hard.

–

Time flies and the years rush by

Laziness will not abide

Learn the value of money

Then accomplishments, the wealth of healthy pride.

–

Scales now tipped another way

Work becomes out everything

As we mature we work hard

Security and prosperity, now king.

–

Those two extremes in our lives

Balance needed that’s the truth

Work and play must coexist

As my life and lessons, are the living proof…

Getting Through Thursday

Can’t keep my eyes open

I’m in dire need of a nap

Up early, and I’m still coping.

–

I feel slow and thick like tree’s sap

Only caffeine can get me through

Feeling dried out like a pen without cap.

–

A latte or Monster Energy will do

Wake up juice is needed now

After consuming this magic brew.

–

I feel light and airy in my brow 

Really getting my second wind

Moving with determination and how

–

My tiredness earlier doth rescind

Meetings and projects, so much to get done

As I finished them all, I happily grinned.

–

Knocking out task lists is always fun

Satisfaction, at the end of my day 

Now once and for all, my work is done

I’m not a Jack, dull, boy, it’s time for play…

So they say

Despite work

All, love play.

Pay your dues 

Nine to five

Work quite hard

To survive.

Then punch out

Job well done

Tasks complete 

Now for fun.

On the town 

Walk with friends

Hope the fun

Never ends…
