I love winter’s lips
Cold but not nearly too cruel
Ice touches us all
Whispers of snowflakes drift down,
Frosty breath upon my cheeks…

Cool mornings
Winter’s very close
As the days grow much shorter
We enjoy many holiday toasts
Cooler nights…

December, starts
It’s almost here
Children’s favored
Time of the year.
–
A time of gifts
or presents too
Shopping and chores
A lot to do.
–
Baking cookies
String up the lights
Put up your tree
Such wondrous nights.
–
Using fingers
the children count
Days till Christmas
They work it out.
–
Weather turns cold
This time of year
Winter’s wonders
Fill us with cheer.
–
Kinder gestures
People unknown
Our warmth festers
When not alone.
–
Holidays close
Just weeks away
Twenty four days
Till Christmas play.
–
Make it our best
Winter season
Kindness and warmth
Our best reasons…
-AAA 12/01/2024
Winter is frigid
Winter is cold.
–
Cold day in hell
Cold as ice.
–
Ice cream sundae
Ice cream man.
–
Man of the house
Man of war
–
War what’s it good for
War games.
–
Games a plenty
Games people play.
–
Play the record
Play on words.
–
Words of wisdom
Words can kill.
–
Killer in you is the killer in me
Kill eye.
–
Eye of the beholder
Eye of the tiger.
–
Tiger eyes
Tiger lily.
–
Lily livered
Lily White.
–
White shoulders
White room.
–
Room service
Room with a view.
–
View to a kill
View from the window.
–
Window washer
Window to my soul.
–
Soul mate
Soul kitchen.
–
Kitchen aid
Kitchen sink.
–
Sink that put
Sink or swim.
–
Swim in the main stream
Swim in the sea.
–
Sea of Cortez
Sea of Joy.
–
Joy ride
Joy to the world.
–
World in my eyes
World without love.
–
Love of a lifetime.
Love is a journey.
–
Lifetime…
Journey…

nearly falling upon us.
In less than six weeks,

Prepare, or suffer later…

Wintery sunshine
Soft pale white translucent rays
Light everything.

See the beauty all around.
