Her given name was Pretty Kate
She’d be dressed to the nines by eight
She’d fashion a grin
To all who walked in
She was prim
On a date…

Here are the two first lines. This is challenging! If I’m not getting the clogyrnach vibe. Thank you and I hope you’re having a happy Saturday.

That’s cute. That’s a great start and we can collaborate. Do you want me to write a couple of lines and send them back to you in here in this note?

I’ll give it my best shot. This will be fun but challenging. I love words but don’t write a lot of poetry. When it’s finished I’ll show it to you even if it is terrible!

I’m sure it won’t be terrible. Good luck.😊

Ok here’s my first line 8 syllables:
Clogyrnach, I like the word.
Now comes the hard part. 😂

Yeah, the last few stanzas are tough because there’s only three syllables in them.

Oh now that’s so cool! I love the vowel requirements, they’re like rhythms. Yeah! Very cool! I want to try it. (long ago I learned about haiku, and I gave it a shot. This clogyrnach will be a lot more challenging!

Yeah, it’s sort of like the haiku and the limerick had a love child together and the sonnet is like their uncle lol 😝 it’s the weirdest iambic pentameter I’ve ever seen.

I like that word; it’s funny. Clogyrnach is a new word for me. Before I look it up, I think it might be an Irish word🙃!

Here’s a little bit of the 411 on that poetry:
Poetry Form :- Wales: Clogyrnach – A Welsh syllabic and rhyming form with 6 lines. The syllable count is 8/8/5/5/3/3 and the rhyme scheme is a/a/b/b/b/a.

Great question, I saw someone use this and looked challenging so I tried it:
