  1. Mixed feelings, is it better to just play it safe and be ok or to dare greatly and, like Icarus, risk falling to the earth but at least attempt to sore.

I play it safe, and it doesn’t make me happy.

    • That’s not what I’m saying. I’m just saying I didn’t play it safe and got burned. That’s all. I never play it safe. I haven’t my entire life and paid dearly for it like Icarus, dearly.

It’s not meant to say don’t take any chances. It’s meant to say sometimes you’ll get burned when you do as I did as Icarus when his wings melted.

If that makes any sense… 😊

      • Sorry. I’m not the best at getting poetry. I didn’t mean to misinterpret it. I guess it’s how we approach life, some people take risks and may plummet but at least seek to greatness, even if they get burned, others don’t. There’s a line in Shakespeare, Julius Caesar, that (paraphrasing) says “There is a tide in the affairs of man that, taken at the flood leads on to greatness, omitted, and all their voyages will be spent in shallows and mourning.”

A timid soul will never risk their wings melting, but, well, they’ll never fly to greatness neither. I tend to be the latter.

        • Just to let you know how much I believe risk and change and challenges so important everything I’ve done in my life over the last two years too hardest of my entire life. I had to risk and challenging myself and going into tons of uncharted territory. I think you get it. I was just trying to say sometimes when you take the risk it doesn’t pay off. I would recommend anybody else take the chance to when they’re going for something nothing ventured nothing gained. Sometimes something ventured lots lost it just depends.

Thank you for reading and no you got it right there’s no right answer to anything there’s interpretation and everybody can interpret in different ways and it’s totally good. That’s part of the beauty of reading the writings.
