I don’t want to remember
All the deaths that they suffered
It was one bright September
Tragedy was not buffered.

I’ve done all my figuring
After many years later
No magic conjuring
Will ever make it waver

I was born and raised in NYC. I was working at my second job downtown when the bomb went off in the WTC garages of course after that all was fine. When this tragedy occurred I was living an ocean away in Riga Latvia. I was at a neighbor’s house when they said Have you seen what is happening in NYC? I walked into their living room and fell on my knees by their TV just at the moment the towers went down. Then I went home to tell my husband about this with bottle of vodka, He was born and raised in Riga but we had been to the top of the WTC in 1999.

It was a horrible day! My neighbor called me and told me to turn on the news. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. The world will never forget!
