What am I good for?
That’s a great question
I’ve been asked before
With a little concession.
–
Why am I so sensitive?
My ex-wife of asked
As if it was preventative
“Be a man” I was tasked.
–
But what if I was every bit a man?
As a less sensitive contemporary
That’d violate all your plans
As you made me feel less exemplary.
–
What if I knew all they did?
In passion and love as well
But you never accepted my bid
Preferring to treat me like hell.
–
Do nice guys finish last?
The truth is we pretty much do
Until the world wakes up fast
Excepting our point of view.
–
Are we to be counted out?
Absolutely not
As our loyalty is devout
Only then not an afterthought…

It’s a stupid view that society has come up with it and then we’re supposed to be emotionally, clueless, insensitive, etc. It’s a stupid idea.

Don’t worry, I don’t. I was just expressing past woes. I’m content with who I am and I’ll never change it. But it’s never been easy until maybe now and I’m 52 years old so it took a long time before it finally came into trendiness being a sensitive male in this society.
